If it is said there are many kami in Japan, would that seem strange?
Japanese believe there are kami for everything that sustains life; kami of the sun, mountains, grain, ships, rocks, just to name a few.
We both feared and lived in thanks of the great force called nature, as well as the blessings that resulted from it.

The Shinto faith has continued for thousands of years, and in the present day the kami can still be seen being worshiped.
Even everyday Japanese words like mottainai ("waste") refer to the regret that comes from the wasting of a kami’s power.

In this application, the myths of Japan from over 1300 years ago, known collectively as the KOJIKI, are assembled and presented in an easy-to-read storyboard format.
Beginning with the story of the birth of the Japanese archipelago, the KOJIKI vividly describes the process of the kami as they created Japan; depicted peacefully at times, painfully at others.
We hope while enjoying the KOJIKI, you find interest in the country of Japan and the Shinto faith.

And especially to those overseas, we hope you come to enjoy the myths of our country.

Gratefully yours.
